Let the world call you lazy for not running about like a frightened ghost. Just be quiet inside yourself. Don't bother about knowing how things should be and simply begin observing without prejudice, projections or desires. Notice how life flows of its own accord. Nothing here is a chaos, but a harmony. You are already inside this flow.

people who are dynamic,
it is not necessary that
they will be happy also.

Meditation is important for every human being.By Sri Sri........

Friday, 31 May 2013

Make your home God's home and there will be light, love and abundance.

Make your body God's abode and there will be peace and bliss.

Feel your mind as a toy of God and you'll watch and enjoy all its games.

See this world as play and as a display of God Himself and you will repose in the Non-Dual Self.

maya''illusion''======

Mind is the flame, and it is the mind that brightens up our world. Take the mind off, your world disappears. Your world is lit and recognized and felt by the mind. And when mind becomes one whole, it is sweet, it is melody, it is beauty. If mind is divided, that is "maya," that is illusion.-------- SRI SRI

Often when you are happy you feel life is a dream because you do not believe in the reality of it. When there is misery you feel life is a burden. We take trivial things very seriously. One who has really gone through the pleasure realizes that pleasure is a burden. And if you have undergone misery thoroughly you will realize that life is a dream.srisri--

Sri Sri Rvai Shankar
The first solution to this problem is to not have any problem. The second is to accept willingly issue and view it as a challenge. The third is simply to awaken the lion out of you.

"Enlightenment is a rare combination of innocence and intelligence - having words for expression but at the same time being very silent. In that state, the mind is fully in the present moment. Whatever is necessary, is revealed to you in such a natural and spontaneous way - you just sit and the song just flows through you. Enlightenment is the very core of your being. It is going to the core of our Self and living our lives from there."

Seva means what?

Seva means what? ‘Sa’ means ‘him’ which refers to God and ‘Eva’ means ‘like him’; doing things like him. God does so many things for you but does not expect anything in return from you. Whether you pray to him, thank him or not he will still continue to do. He is not doing you a favor. When you thank God, that is for your own joy, it does not matter to God. In the same way whether people acknowledge your work or not, whether they thank you or not you still do it
because you find that it is important to do! - Sri Sri

Why do bad things happen to good people? SriSri

Q: Guruji, Why do bad things happen to good people?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Bad things happen because of two reasons. One is past deeds, and second is current foolishness. If you are being good and foolish, then bad things can happen to you. You can’t say, ‘I am so good but why did my finger get burnt?’ If you put your finger in the burner, it will burn. Or, today you didn’t do any mistake but couple of days ago you got a speeding ticket, and today you have to pay for it. You drove too fast yesterday, beyond the speeding limit, and today you will have to pay for it. You have to face the consequences. So, one is past deeds. Good people could also have done some bad things in the past – this is the first reason.
Second reason – Good people would have lacked the skill and intelligence to not get into bad things or let bad things affect them. One is called Karma and the other is called lack of skill.
So, you need both. In life, you need freedom first and Love, second. Without freedom, there is no love also. We need inner freedom - freedom from our own emotions and feelings, not from others. Freedom, love, skill, and energy, got it?
So, when bad things happen to good people, don’t say, ’Oh you poor thing! This should not have happened to you.’ And don’t even say, ’You deserved it; that is why it happened to you!’ Or, ’You lack skill. You have been so foolish.’ No! Don’t tell them any of that. Just be with them with a smile, and support them. See how you can help them come out of their current situation without giving them an analytical commentary about their situation.

Q: Guruji, How to choose the right career?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: You should see what your tendency is and what you want.
There is nothing called Job-Satisfaction. This word should be removed from the dictionary. ‘Satisfaction comes only through service’. Do you get it? Service is a different thing. But for your livelihood you should do some profession. Take any profession that suits you, that fits you, and in addition to that, do your social activities, spiritual activities, literary activities and your hobbies.
Often people try to make their hobbies as their profession, and their profession a hobby. That is when neither the profession sticks nor the hobby sticks. Music is your hobby; keep it as a hobby, yes! What you are doing here is the perfect thing, i.e., becoming more hollow and empty, and the right thing will fall at the right time. Isn’t this happening? For how many is it happening? The right thing just comes at the right time, and everything goes smooth.

Questions are always bent, crooked (?), but wonder is always straight ----

questioner are always bent, crooked (?), but wonder is always straight (!). So transforming life from question to wonder is knowledge. Knowledge does not give answers to questions but changes the questions to wonder. +Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

23rd Jan--- Netaji Sbhas Chandra Bose Birthday.

Freedom is not given, it is taken----Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose-----
Gird up your loins for the task that now lies ahead. I had asked you for men, money and materials. I have got them in generous measure. Now I demand more of you. Men, money and materials cannot by themselves bring victory or freedom. We must have the motive-power that will inspire us to brave deeds and heroic exploits.----Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Why do put a label in your head?

Q: Guruji, my boss wants me to be diplomatic and feels it is very important for communication but I am a very straight forward person and cannot be diplomatic. What is the right thing to do?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Why do you put a label in your head ‘I am a straight forward person’ and why should a straight forward person not be diplomatic also? A straight forward person need not be rude all the time. Now you hide your rudeness behind that fact that you are straight forward, no you cannot justify the rudeness that way. Straight forwardness is necessary and diplomacy is also necessary, you have to have both. When you meet someone who is blind, you cannot tell that person, ‘You are a blind person’. You may say I am just straight forward, I am just saying the right thing, but you shouldn’t do that. So diplomacy is part of life; that is a skill you need to have. Diplomacy need not be that one is not being straight forward because it is not the opposite of being straight forward, not at all. These two things should go together.

Attitude....................................

Only spirituality brings up the tendency to care and share in one's life. Only spirituality can bring about open mindedness and a progressive attitude ~ Sri Sri

Be Alert ------------------------------

Fear is our best friend . It's like fire. If we can control it, it can cook for us; it can heat our house. If we can't control it, it will burn everything around us and destroy us. If we can control our fear, it makes us more alert.
I like------ little fear more alert.

Q: Guruji, in your meeting with the Upanayanam batch, you told us to learn the Brahmayagna - the four Mantras from the four Vedas. Could you please tell us the meaning of these Mantras?

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: The vibrations of Mantras are more important than the meaning of the Mantras. These Mantras were downloaded by the Rishis. They sat in meditation and they got something and they downloaded it and passed it on to people. So it was received as a vibration, it was not done with an intellectual awareness of sitting and writing it down. These Mantras have come from an intuitive level, or from the pure consciousness.
See, if you sit and think and act and join a few words and give meaning to them, then that is a different thing. But something that comes from inside you, like poetry, like an intuition, can be expanded and explored for generations to come. And every time you explore it, some new meaning will come out of it and that is why they are called Mantras. Mananat trayate iti Mantrah – when you just dwell on it, it uplifts your energy. This is what is said.
Mantras do have some meaning, but the meaning is just the tip of the ice berg. The meaning is not so important. In Mantras, it is the vibrations that are important.

Miracle is possible-- Sri Sri

When you are in a state
of love and devotion, your
energy is so strong, that
what you think impossible
starts happening. When
your heart and mind are
pure and clear, then
positive energy rises in
you. But if your mind is
full of negativity; or if you
are complaining, then no
miracle is possible.
